New Zealand Championships

Men's and Women's Championships

These are open-entry events for teams of 4 or 5 players. Winning teams do not automatically qualify as the NZ representative side for the Pan Continental Championship or other events, but they serve as a valuable guide for the selectors.

Mixed Doubles Championship

This event was open-entry until 2020. From 2021, teams must first enter a Qualifying Event, with the top 4-6 sides from the Qualifier earning entry to the Championship. The Championship winners have first right of refusal to play as the NZ representative team at World events.

Mixed Championship

An open entry event. The winners have first right of refusal to play as the NZ team at the World Mixed Championship.

Junior Championships

Players must be under 21 on 30 June of the year of the tournament. National selectors will use this event and other events as a guide when selecting NZ Junior teams.

Senior Championships

Players must be aged 50 or over on 1 July of the year of the tournament. The winning Men's and Women's teams have first right of refusal to play as the NZ team at the World Senior Championships.
 

Discontinued Events

Wendorf Rock

From 1994 until 2004, the Wendorf Rock was New Zealand Curling's National Indoor Championship. After the inception of separate Men's and Women's National Championships in 2005 it was awarded to the winners of a mid-season bonspiel hosted by the Dunedin Curling Club.
